New Braunfels, TX January 17th, 2019 - Beginning in January on the Pursuit Channel, Keith Warren’s Deer & Wildlife Stories show will feature a parody skit on “fair chase” hunting. According to Keith Warren, the goal of this campaign is twofold. First, to encourage all hunters to consider what, if anything, “fair chase” hunting actually means. And second, to encourage all hunters to stand united rather than focusing on what divides them.

“Is shooting an animal at 1000 yards with a precision rifle fair chase? What about using numerous game cameras to monitor your hunting area 24/7? How about using an electronic machine that supposedly eliminates odor? Or strategically placing mineral blocks and attractants near your elevated tree stand?” asked Warren. “For far too long hunters have been fighting amongst each other and one of the biggest drivers of this division is hunter elitism. Rather than looking down on those who hunt differently, it is time that all sportsmen recognize the absurdity of these divisions and come together as one unified group to protect the future of hunting,” said Warren.

Each week these skits will feature Timmy Edwin, president of the American Fair Chase Hunting Club, as he shares the latest product in the hunting world that helps hunters be more successful. Warren will then question, “Is that fair chase?” Warren hopes this campaign will unify all hunters so they have mutual respect for one another and realize that we are stronger when we stop the bickering and infighting about what exactly “fair chase” hunting is and is not.

“It shouldn’t matter how you hunt or where you hunt as long as you do it safely and legally. We hope to get people to use the hashtag #justshutupandhunt on all social media posts to let folks know what fair chase is to them,” said Warren.
