A new innovative bait trailer has been introduced by Iron Decoy. This design has been years in the making and covers a large spectrum of designs and concepts to dressing a fishing lure. The ball chain design accentuates the movement of the bait causing a much higher percentage of strikes. The trailer/dressing/skirt is made from metal, so it is very durable and strong at the same time being light in weight. Its light weight and great range of motion doesn’t affect the lures action allowing the design to be applied to lighter weight baits. It effortlessly follows the baits previous movement through the water producing incredible action. “It’s something you almost have to see to believe” said Jake Major owner and designer. Because the ball chain is made from metal it produces noise and vibration further enhancing the effectiveness. “I conceived the design about 5 years ago and my interest to commercialize it finally culminated with the introduction of the Iron Decoy brand,” Jake explained. They have used the patent pending design on their newly introduced Steely line of fishing lures that covers all fresh water species. “The design has limitless applications for our line of baits going forward” noted Jake. Currently the ball chain colors match three of our base colors of Steely’s, gold, silver and copper.
