Over the past few weeks, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) and partners in the sporting conservation community have urged Members of Congress to support significant funding for many pro-sporting related programs within the upcoming FY 2020 appropriations budget.
The window for Members of Congress to submit their appropriations requests to the House Appropriations Committee and respective Subcommittees closes within the next couple of weeks. Largely led by Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Members, some of the priorities that await funding for critical conservation programs include:
CSF looks forward to working with Appropriations Chairwoman Representative Nita Lowey, CSC Member and Ranking Member Representative Kay Granger, and the Committee to ensure that sufficient funding is provided to programs that will benefit sportsmen and women as well as fish and wildlife populations and their associated habitats.
