Indiana-Illinois Boundary Adjustment Commission to meet Oct. 22

The Indiana-Illinois Boundary Adjustment Commission will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Tirey Hall on the campus of Indiana State University.

The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. ET in State Room in Tirey Hall, 220 N. 7th St., Terre Haute. Paid parking is available in the nearby Cherry Street parking garage.

The agenda is posted below.

The Indiana-Illinois Boundary Adjustment Commission was established by House Enrolled Act 1008, passed earlier this year. The commission’s role is to evaluate redrawing boundaries between Indiana and Illinois. Since 2020, 33 Illinois counties have voted to explore the possibility of separating from their state, including seven Illinois counties in the November 2024 election.

The commission includes six individuals appointed by Indiana Governor Mike Braun, and allows for the appointment of five individuals from Illinois under Illinois law.
