Anglers Inn International Sponsors Big Bass Junior Championship

CATOOSA, Oklahoma – Big Bass Junior Championship (BBJC) announces the premier bass fishing outfitter Anglers Inn International will sponsor the 2019 BBJC and host the tournament finals. The grass roots tournament format unbinds the constrictive traditional one-day tournament format and allows high school and college anglers ages 14 to 25 to compete on their schedules. The tournament started January 1st and ends August 15th.

Anglers Inn International, founded by Fishing Hall of Famer Billy Chapman Jr., operates world renown lodges for largemouth bass fishing in Mexico and peacock bass fishing in the Amazon basin. Chapman’s newest venture includes the newly opened fishing destination Willows Club on the shores of Idaho’s Pend Oreille River. The Willows Club will be home to the 2019 BBJC finals this fall where each state finalist qualifies to test their hand at the trophy class smallmouth and untapped largemouth fishery.

“We are excited to be apart of the Big Bass Junior Championship (BBJC) and The Willows Club by Anglers Inn International wants to pass on our tradition of luxury and quality locations to these young anglers,” said Chapman. “The next generation of young anglers to our sport will be awe struck to see the BBJC finals here at one of the greatest fisheries in the Northwest. These types of tournament not only builds on the growing numbers of high school and college bass clubs around our nation, but also opens the doors to millions of grass roots students that may never have a chance to participate in this type of competitive atmosphere or location.”

Anglers at the finals, schedules for late October will be competing for a ready-to-fish Bass Cat Margay boat, rigged with Mercury, Lowrance and Motorguide equipment. Cash prizes will also be awarded. One young angler will be chosen as a winner for a trip to one of Anglers Inn International Mexico locations.

“It only takes one fish to qualify for your state,” said Bill Siemantel, Bill is also a legendary angler in the Hall of Fame for his big bass prowess and is the tournament organizer of the BBJC. “There is no need for expensive equipment, this is grass roots fishing at it’s finest. This allows young anglers at all skill levels to compete and have fun. All you need is a camera or a phone and an e-mail address to register your catch.”
