Sportsman Channel Boasts No. 1 Growing Network with Men 25-54 in Impressions to Begin 2019

Denver – Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks Sportsman Channel and
Outdoor Channel continue to experience impressions growth among Men 25-54 to start 2019. Sportsman Channel also dominates its closest outdoor lifestyle competitor (Pursuit Channel) in key demos YTD.

Sportsman Channel ranks as the No. 1 growing network with Men 25-54 in impressions in all cable of television while sister network Outdoor Channel is among the Top 10.

Key statistics for 2019 YTD include:

Sportsman Channel

  • Sportsman Channel is the No. 1 growing network with Men 25-54 in impressions from one year ago during the first two months of 2019 (Jan-Feb).
  • During Jan-Feb 2019, Sportsman Channel’s Men 25-54 increased +66 percent in impressions during total day and +74 percent in prime compared to 2018.
  • During Jan-Feb 2019, Sportsman Channel’s Adults 25-54 increased +57 percent in impressions during total day and +58 percent during prime compared to 2018.
  • During Jan-Feb 2019, Sportsman Channel increased its Men 25-54 impressions six of seven nights by more than doubling the number of Men 25-54 on Monday (+118 percent), Tuesday (+119 percent) and Wednesday (+116 percent) nights.
  • According to Nielsen full year results*, Sportsman Channel topped its competitor (Pursuit Channel) in 2018 during total day all key male demos including Men 18-34 (+61 percent), Men 18-49 (+17 percent), Men 25-54 (+11percent) and Men 35-64 (+22 percent) in average audience delivery.
  • Also in 2018, Sportsman Channel exceeded its competitor (Pursuit Channel) by even greater margins during prime in all key male demos including: Men 18-34 (+98 percent), Men 18-49 (+24 percent), Men 25-54 (+21percent) and Men 35-64 (+12 percent) in average audience delivery.*
  • During 2019 to date, Sportsman Channel continues to widen the gap between its competitor by surpassing Pursuit in Men 18-34 (+77 percent), Men 18-49 (+48 percent), Men 25-54 (+31 percent) and Men 35-64 (+34 percent) in average audience delivery.**
  • Also during 2019 to date, Sportsman Channel’s lead over its competitor in prime is increasing in Men 18-34 (+74 percent), Men 18-49 (+67 percent), Men 25-54 (+61 percent) and Men 35-64 (+43 percent) in average audience delivery.**
  • According to Nielsen data, Sportsman Channel’s dominance over its competitor with men is even greater in high income households ($75K+). Sportsman Channel beats its rival among Men 18-34 (+142 percent), Men 18-49 (+120 percent), Men 25-54 (+42 percent) and Men 35-64 (+54 percent) during 2019 to date.**

Outdoor Channel

  • Outdoor Channel ranks among the Top 10 highest growing networks with Men 25-54 in impressions from one year ago during the first two months of 2019 (Jan-Feb).
  • During Jan-Feb 2019, Outdoor Channel’s Men 25-54 has increased +11 percent in impressions during total day and prime compared to 2018.
  • During Jan-Feb 2019, Outdoor Channel’s Adults 25-54 has increased +15 percent in impressions during total day and +2 percent during prime compared to 2018.
  • During Jan-Feb 2019, Outdoor Channel has increased its Men 25-54 impressions five of seven nights in prime including its adventure programming night on Monday (+19 percent), and all four nights of its dedicated hunt/fish/shoot programming on Tuesday (+28 percent), Wednesday (+48 percent), Thursday (+7 percent) and Sunday (+15 percent).
