Whitetails Unlimited Strengthens Their Habitat Program

Whitetails Unlimited contributed more than $218,000 through the H.O.P.E. (Habitat Options and Planned Enhancement) for Wildlife program last fiscal year. The H.O.P.E. program involves initiatives such as wildlife habitat and hunter access, and a key component to these initiatives is developing relationships with private land owners. Whitetails Unlimited has also created partnerships with state and federal resource agencies to acquire land, increase public hunting opportunities, and improve and maintain critical habitat for deer and other wildlife species.

To safeguard this investment in wildlife, Whitetails Unlimited also provides measures to combat poaching through the H.O.P.E program. For instance, the Whitetail Watch initiative acts to curb illegal poaching by enlisting the support of citizen volunteers to serve as a neighborhood watch patrol for wildlife violations in their area.
