Turkeys for Tomorrow Unveils Branded TFT Property Signage for Turkey Hunters

Check out these brand-new sign options to showcase your passion for wild turkeys.

A gobbler sounds his thunder from that pine tree planted 20-some years ago. A hen sits on her nest in a dense stand of native grasses cultivated two springs prior. A whole flock feeds across a lush, green clover plot planted last fall. It’s these sights — seeing wild turkeys benefit and flourish because of key habitat improvements — that are most rewarding. And today, hunters can display their passion for the betterment of wild turkeys in many different ways.

“We have a private landowner cooperative program,” said Turkeys for Tomorrow (TFT) CEO Jason Lupardus. “We developed signage for our private landowners who want to work with us. These can be displayed on any such property.”

Lupardus says that this is something a lot of people asked for when TFT started its Fly Down Committee. For those unaware, this is ultimately comprised of a group of volunteers from local TFT flocks. It helps brainstorm ideas and provides insight.

One common message? People saying, “Hey, I’d like to display TFT signage where we've done some wild turkey conservation work.”

Now, TFT offers new signs for those aspiring to showcase their love for the wild turkey — wherever these projects take place. That said, this is not only for the private land cooperatives. Certainly, these individuals have their own category of available signage options. Others do, too, though.

“We have new signage that you'll see on public grounds — any public grounds where we do work,” Lupardus said. “We’ll definitely have signs out there, and you can't miss them. These are going to be called ‘Terrain for Turkeys,’ and when you see one of those, you’ll know that TFT is working with that agency, as well as folks at the local level, to put quality habitat on the ground for wild turkeys — which will be good for them year-round.”

Lastly, a third type of property signage is for general landowners. Perhaps they enjoy seeing and hunting turkeys. Maybe they’re conducting habitat and wild turkey management.

“This is for the landowner who is really managing their properties,” Lupardus said. “And they want to really showcase signs at the gates.

“If you've ever been to private lands, a lot of landowners have big signs at the front gate,” Lupardus continued. “These demonstrate what they are doing for various wildlife species, tree species, etc. You name it — and we’ll have conservation signs for it.”

Therefore, Lupardus joyously announces that TFT now offers landowners with conservation- and hunting-centric signs that a lot of landowners will really enjoy.

Each of these aforementioned signs — with the exception of the “Terrain for Turkeys” public land signage — can be found on the TFT website.

“We will only be utilizing those on public land projects, so those will not be available for purchase,” Lupardus said. “However, all other signs will be available to the public.”

Don’t restrict use of these signs to only property gates, though. Be creative and display your passion for wild turkey conservation wherever you see fit.

“We might even see some folks who want to use one of these signs on a taxidermy mount, deploy it in their man cave, or post it elsewhere,” Lupardus suggested. “You name it. I think there is going to be a lot of uses for these signs. But ultimately, let’s put these out on properties where people really want to do something good for wild turkeys.”
