Brown County State Park will be having a 75th birthday party for Smokey Bear on July 20. Events will be at the state park Nature Center beginning at 10 a.m.
The day will start with a coloring contest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a Tree Trek at 11 a.m., and at noon enjoy a tasty treat by making tree cookie necklaces.
The afternoon will also be full of activities. Smokey Movie Hour with free popcorn will be at 1 p.m., followed by a live raptor show at 2 p.m.
Smokey’s party will be at 3 p.m. Free cake will be served and Woodsy Owl will make an appearance. Smokey Bingo will be at 4 p.m.
To conclude the day, MC Axe and the Fire Crew will perform at 8 p.m.
Park admission during the event is $7 per vehicle for in-state residents and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state residents.
