Indiana: learn about winter gulls at Patoka Lake

The conventional picture of gulls portrays them on warm sunny beaches near the ocean, not in Indiana. But yet they spend time here during the winter months. And there’s a good reason why there are here.

During these programs, participants will have the opportunity to drive to the water to see them up close using binoculars. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras.

For more information regarding this program or other interpretive events, please call the Nature Center at 812-685-2447.

Patoka Lake (on.IN.gov/patokalake) is at 3084 N. Dillard Road, Birdseye, IN 47513.
