South Texas Tripods and Feeders to Exhibit at 2020 HSCF Convention

Houston, TX – Visit us at Booth #401 at the 2020 Houston Safari Club Foundation Worldwide Hunting Expo & Convention! January 24-26, 2020.

About us and our feeders, Chuck Cashdollar, President of South Texas Tripods and Feeders, started building automatic deer feeders in the mid 1950’s, and free choice in the 1970’s. Many early feeders were quite primitive but worked. Having built transistor radio circuit boards, I had an early appreciation for the durability of that type of electronic component. By the 1960’s others developed and patented the first circuit boards. I built quite a number for various other companies’ components until the mid-1960’s, at which time I envisioned South Texas Tripods and Feeders.

I then moved into corporate America with the original Bell System (world’s largest at that time), and in over 23 years, I accumulated close to 4,000 hours of advanced training in the electronics field. My career gave me the opportunity to look at, test, and use various components, chips, etc. Over the years, I stayed with the transistor and the rest is history. I don’t know how long they will last, we engineered them for 20 years life expectancy and the oldest one still feeding at our office in Spring, TX is over 55 years old.

The South Texas Tripod! Consider the comfort of the seat. Comfort counts in a deer stand that will be occupied for hours on end. The more comfortable you are, the less you will fidget and squirm – equals more unalerted deer.
