Event to Benefit Orphan and Foster Child Placement Services

Phoenix, AZ – McMillan® Fiberglass Stocks, the industry leader in precision-driven custom fiberglass stocks, is pleased to announce that the National Rifle League joins the roster of corporate sponsors for the upcoming debut West Coast Guardian Long Range Competition match near Wikieup, Arizona, at The Big Sandy Range December 8-9, 2018.

The Guardian Long Range Competitions are CHARITY precision shooting matches that raise money to help children find their forever homes. All proceeds go toward helping orphans find loving families and assisting foster and adoptive families through Bethany Christian Services. The Guardian has raised over $300,000 for orphans and foster children since 2014 and has been supported by over 650 shooters from 23 different states, with prizes to shooters exceeding $250,000.

As a 501c3 non-profit organization, the National Rifle League's mission to promote the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through competitive long-range matches and other outdoor enthusiast venues aligns perfectly with this first West Coast Guardian Long Range Competition event. With members spanning the U.S., the NRL presents 16 matches across the country with 320 courses of fire that are open to everyone looking to become part of the growing long distance shooting movement.

The West Coast Guardian Long Range Competition is a two-day event that follows the standard Guardian format. Participants will spend the first day shooting as individuals in squads of up to 12 shooters at steel targets out to 1,200 yards. Pistol stages will be included, and the top 3 shooters will earn trophies along with best-shooter in LE/MIL, .308, and female categories. Day Two will see top/low scoring shooters pair up for 2-man team shooting, following the same format as Day One and engaging reactive steel targets out to 1,600 yards.
