Outdoor America Partners with The Salt Report for Live ICAST 2025 Broadcasts

Irving, Texas – Outdoor America, the fastest growing network for people passionate about outdoor sports and recreation, is pleased to announce the debut of The Salt Report for on-air coverage of the upcoming 68th annual International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST), slated for July 15-18, 2025 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

ICAST is the premier date on the calendar where every fishing manufacturer provides a first look at the new gear, tackle, tech, and apparel for the coming year. And The Salt Report will be there to cover it all. An on-location broadcast from the producers of Sport Fishing Television, The Salt Report: ICAST Edition, will highlight a new year of fishing products debuting at the world’s largest sport fishing trade show.

Produced in the style of a video podcast, the editors of Salt Water Sportsman and Sport Fishing will host the show from The Salt Report's production hub at the Orange County Convention Center, with correspondents, exhibitors, and industry friends and personalities serving as featured guests for a mix of conversation and product previews and reviews. The Salt Report will produce one show per day for each of the three days of ICAST. Episodes will be distributed across Salt Water Sportsman and Sport Fishing’s digital and social channels, featured in the daily The Salt Report e-newsletter, and aired multiple times on Outdoor America—the premier network for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

"The Salt Report is our new franchise that will go on the road to cover newsworthy and notable events and destinations in the saltwater fishing universe, from trade shows to tournaments and boat shows and beyond,” said Shawn Bean, editorial director of Firecrown Fish Group, writer/director of Sport Fishing Television, host/producer of The Salt Report. “And there's no better place to debut The Salt Report than ICAST. It will be a mix of planned and spontaneous conversations, and from-the-show-floor reporting on the latest and greatest gear and products. We already have some big surprise guests booked for the show."

“We couldn’t be happier to partner with Sport Fishing Television and The Salt Report for ICAST 2025,” said Jamie Wilkinson, Executive Vice President of Outdoor America. "To be able to work with Shawn Bean and his team to bring coverage of the event to our viewers showcases our continued commitment to outdoors enthusiasts everywhere.”
