Reno Cerakote, the Nation’s premiere high-volume Cerakote applicator, announces Laura Jones promotion to Quality Manager.

Jones was born in San Bernardina, California. She graduated in the small Northern California town of Vacaville where she met her husband of forty years, Tom. They moved to Nevada in 1990 where they raised their two children, Tonya and Tommy.

Prior to joining the Reno Cerakote team Jones worked for Northwest Territorial Mint & Medallic Art Company for twenty years. Laura worked in various positions throughout her career in the Minting Industry, starting in packaging as an Inspector and leaving as the Quality Supervisor when the facility closed.

Jones began working for Reno Cerakote in 2018, starting as Purchasing/Inventory Control. She was then tasked with developing and implementing a Quality Inspection Department. Within 9 months Jones and her team have created inspection and documentation process that are essential to customer satisfaction and Reno Cerakote’s quality standard. Jones was imperative in helping Reno Cerakote become the Nation’s first ISO:9001 2015 certified Cerakote applicator.

With Jones promotion to Quality Manager she will continue to support and manage the Quality team. Ensuring customer satisfaction is at its highest level possible and develop new customer quality requirements. She has also been tasked to maintain our ISO: 9001 2015 Quality management system.

A lot of time you get push back from other departments. Not at Reno Cerakote! We are a team and it feels so good”, said Jones.

When not at work Jones loves to cook and bake. One can often find her famous cakes in the break room for each employee’s birthday. Jones and her husband enjoy leisurely Nevada evenings together, family events and traveling.
