Have dinner while learning about distilling history at Spring Mill State Park’s first dinner in the grist mill of 2019, which will be on April 27 at 6 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Alan Bishop, head distiller at Spirits of French Lick Distillery in West Baden. He has done a lot of research about long-lost distilleries and distillers from the pre-prohibition Hoosier hills because of his family ties to distilling and its culture. He will speak on “The History of Distilling in Hoosier Occupied Northern Kentucky: The Black Forest of Indiana.”
The dinner will be catered by the Spring Mill Inn, and the cost is $50 per person. Make reservations through Spring Mill Inn. Seating is limited.
Watch for information on the upcoming dinners on Saturday, June 8 and Saturday, Oct. 19.
Spring Mill State Park (on.IN.gov/springmillsp) is at 3333 State Road 60 East, Mitchell, 47446.
