Best Of The West And Huskemaw Support Special Operations Warrior Foundation

CODY, WYO. — Best of the West, LLC and Huskemaw Optics, LLC — part of the Best of the West Holdings, LLC family of brands — have signed on as sponsors of this year’s Heart Mountain Challenge. The premiere long-range shooting event and competition is presented by the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a national non-profit that works tirelessly to ensure full post-secondary educational support to surviving children of special operations personnel and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel.

The Heart Mountain Challenge will take place June 26 and 27 on the iconic and historic Heart Mountain, just north of Cody, Wyoming. Approximately 200 of the country’s top marksmen — a combination of former Special Operations Forces, military members and civilians — will gather to compete in a variety of timed target-shooting challenges, with selected target distances up to 2,000 yards away at elevations of over 7,000 feet.

“This event brings together several elements that make it a perfect fit for our brands. Not only do we have the opportunity to support Special Operations Warrior Foundation’s work with military and their families, but also showcase how long-range shooting can bring people together in support of such an important cause. We’re honored to support Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the impact they have on these brave service members’ families,” said Jack Peterson, CEO of Best of the West and Huskemaw.

“On behalf of Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF), I would like to thank Best of the West Holdings, LLC, including Best of the West Arms and Huskemaw Optics, for their support of The Heart Mountain Challenge. Their generous involvement will help fund the educations of the surviving children we serve, and provide financial relief to surviving spouses of fallen Special Operations Personnel,” commented MG (Ret) Clay Hutmacher, President and CEO of SOWF.”
