Iowa Hiring Seasonal Aides for Summer Positions

The DNR's State Parks Bureau is hiring seasonal aides in many state parks for the 2019 summer season. Duties will include general park and trail maintenance include facilities, park rule enforcement, public programming, and invasive species control. These positions offer experience with lake, prairie, woodland, trail, and/or campground management. Applicants must be available for various shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays. This position is restricted to 40 hours a week with no overtime or compensatory time available. Starting wage is $10.96 per hour.

Preference will be given to individuals in a natural resource-related field of study. Applicants must be 18 years of age, able to communicate well with the public; work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions; be willing to operate equipment such as mowers, tractors, and chainsaws; and must possess a valid driver’s license.
