LAS VEGAS – The 34th Annual Ducks Unlimited ‘Ducks in the Desert’ Continental Shoot, presented by Browning Arms, is now open for registration for competitive sporting clay shooters. Created in 1986, the event is set for Mar. 4 - 8, 2020, at the world-class Clark County Shooting Complex in North Las Vegas.
“This event continues to be one of the marquee shooting competitions on the West Coast,” said Jim Konkel, chairman of DU’s National Shooting Committee. “We are thrilled to return to Las Vegas to provide competitive clay shooters from around the world an opportunity to compete with their peers, renew friendships, and put on some of the most incredible displays of marksmanship.”
In 2020, the Ducks in the Desert Continental Shoot will feature the 50-target sub-gauge and Super Sporting squadded events, as well as other the 100 target Prelim and 200 target Main events. Also included is a 50 target 5-STAND competition, as well as several side games. All events are governed by National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) rules, but membership in NSCA is not required for a shooter to participate in this tournament.
The Plaza Hotel is the host hotel, with special rates (enter code: DUCKS20) for shooters and their families and is located only minutes from the Clark County Shooting Complex. Those who reserve their room by January 31, 2020 will receive special Ducks Unlimited rates (www.plazahotelcasino.com).
