Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is pleased to announce the application period for the 2025 Dan L Duncan Scholarship Program is now open and will run through April 30, 2025.

HSCF is dedicated to supporting the education of students pursuing careers in conservation. The Dan L Duncan Scholarship Program annually awards scholarships to students enrolled in accredited Texas universities who are studying Wildlife Management, Range Management, and related fields of study. To date, HSCF has awarded 697 scholarships totaling $3.2 million to outstanding students in these fields.

Applicant Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Texas university with a focus on Wildlife Management, Range Management, or related fields of study.
• Must have achieved junior status by the time of application.
• Demonstrate a positive advocacy viewpoint of hunting as a conservation tool.
• Active participation in hunting activities.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities.

Required Submission Materials:

• Introductory cover letter detailing planned career choice.
• Description of remaining coursework.
• Most recent official transcript.
• Two letters of recommendation, with at least one from an academic advisor.
• Current photograph.
• For graduate students: A one-page summary of thesis project information.
