Indiana: volunteer open house at Falls of the Ohio SP

Falls of the Ohio State Park will host an open house for people interested in volunteering at the park on July 13 from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.

Volunteer coordinator Rob Lane and interpretive naturalist Alan Goldstein will talk about the park’s Naturalist at Heart program, where people can learn about Falls of the Ohio and discover the best ways to volunteer. The event offers the chance to get a taste of sample programs from park volunteers who help at the Interpretive Center, George Rogers Clark home site, and on the fossil beds.

There are many perks of volunteering, including meeting visitors from around the world, helping make the park more beautiful, teaching children, learning through classes, taking part in recognition activities, and more.

Falls of the Ohio State Park (on.IN.gov/fallsoftheohiosp) is at 201 W. Riverside Dr. Clarksville, 47129.
