NSSF Stands up for Public Lands, Sponsors BHA Rendezvous

Leading trade association for shooting, hunting and firearms industry
joins growing roster of companies that support BHA

MISSOULA, Mont. – As public lands sportsmen and women prepare to travel to Boise, Idaho, for Backcountry Hunters & Anglers’ annual North American Rendezvous, the National Shooting Sports Foundation has stepped up to further support public lands and waters through sponsorship of the event.

The shooting, hunting and firearms industry’s leading trade association, NSSF helps promote, protect and preserve the outdoors industry and opportunities for sportsmen and women to hunt and shoot, including on public lands. NSSF joins a growing list of influencers in the outdoors industry that are standing up in support of BHA.

“BHA is the fastest growing hunting and fishing organization in the world and is driven by our mission to make sure we all have access to public lands and waters and the fish and wildlife when we get there,” said BHA President and CEO Land Tawney. “We are pleased that NSSF has joined our cause to help achieve the BHA mission. North America is unique the world over in our public lands opportunities, and we must band together to ensure they’ll remain available to future generations.”

NSSF’s mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. Formed in 1961, NSSF has a membership of more than 12,000 manufacturers, distributors, firearms retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and publishers.

BHA was formed around an Oregon campfire in 2004. With chapters in 39 states, two Canadian provinces and Washington, D.C., BHA brings an authentic, informed, boots-on-the-ground voice to the conservation of public lands. Abundant access to our lands and waters, conservation of important fish and wildlife habitat and the principles of fair chase underlie the BHA mission.
