GPO Sponsored Archer Wins 2019 Western Classic Nationals

RICHMOND, Va. — GPO USA-sponsored archery competitor Shawnn Vincent and teammate Brandon Williamson captured the winning title at the 36th Annual Western Classic Trail Shoot NFAA Marked 3D National Championship May 5 in Redding, Calif. The second largest marked 3-D event in the world broke attendance records and attracted hundreds of archers from around the globe looking to hone their skills, win some titles and have some fun.

Competition was stiff throughout the entire day, and with a score of 1539 out of 1540, the Vincent/Williamson team finished the field in a four-way tie for first place. The tie breaker came down to a single arrow per team at an elk target at 88 yards. Competing against world champions, Vincent calmly took aim and let his arrow fly. It found its mark and claimed victory for the duo.

“This was an extremely emotional weekend for me,” said Vincent. “It was a nail-biting end, but we came through, and I can thank my sponsors like GPO for believing in me and providing me with equipment that can put me on the podium.”

Vincent’s choice of binoculars is the GPO Passion 12.5x50 HD.

The first two days the archers shot at 25 different 3-D targets in varying terrain. The final day they shot at 20 targets.

Vincent and Williamson claimed the first-place title and the prize money of $1,296.
