The Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA), the premier organization empowering outdoor communicators across the hunting, fishing, shooting sports and conservation industries, is proud to announce the appointment of Stephanie Spika Hickey as its new Executive Director.
In her new role, Spika Hickey will lead POMA’s strategic vision to champion excellence in outdoor storytelling, strengthen relationships between media professionals and industry partners and expand opportunities for professional growth and mentorship across the outdoor communications community.
“I am excited to build upon POMA’s legacy of excellence, as we enter into a new chapter of the organization’s future,” said Spika Hickey. “I have a deep passion for the outdoors and a commitment to POMA’s mission, so it’s an honor to be named Executive Director.”
Spika Hickey brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications and media leadership within the firearms and outdoor industry. She has a strong background in strategic and crisis communications, serving major non-profit and outdoor-focused organizations with high visibility and impact.
Spika Hickey most recently served as POMA’s Communications Director. She will continue to maintain those duties while also stepping into the role of Executive Director.
