FARMINGDALE, New York- Bruce Piatt topped the best in the country to win the Tactical Iron Division and First Place Law Enforcement at the Midwest 3-Gun Championship, sponsored by FNH-USA and held at the Fire for Effect Range in Fayette, Missouri. A full time law enforcement officer in New Jersey and world champion shooter, Piatt competed with over 150 shooters from across the country to battle it out in the fast paced sport of 3-gun. Rifles, pistol and shotguns were used to see who had the best combination of speed, accuracy and firearms handling skills, while the ever-changing Missouri weather made shooting conditions challenging.
Bruce said, "With the weather changing from bright sunshine to dark overcast raining skies, I found myself wearing SunBuster's Crimson Brown lenses during my time off from shooting to prevent eye fatigue and then switched to my clear lens when it was time to show my stuff. All in all it was a great competition."
