Job Summary: Chattanooga Shooting Supplies is seeking to hire a full-time inside sales representative to join our growing team. You’ll convert pre-qualified leads into new customers and turn existing clients into repeat business. Our ideal candidates would service prospects and customers in California, the Midwest, or New England markets.

The ideal candidate:

  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization's products/services.
  • Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Identifies advantages and compares organization's products and services.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits to and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Analyzes the market's potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.

Who are you?

  • Must be a self-starter and be proactive.
  • Must either be in the Northeast, Midwest or West Coast or have a book of business in these geographical areas.
  • Must have five years of sales experience in the firearms industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and the Windows environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate successfully under deadlines.
  • Familiar with the hunting and shooting sports industry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as under immediate supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years inside/outside sales experience required.
