Indiana: Visit State Parks booth at the Christmas Gift & Hobby Show

Get a jump on holiday shopping by visiting the Indiana State Parks booth at the Christmas Gift and Hobby Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Nov. 7-11.

While there, you can purchase gifts for the outdoor lovers on your list. Whether they enjoy camping outdoors or sleeping in the comfort of one of seven Indiana State Park Inns, they will welcome a $99 State Park Holiday Gift Pack under their tree.

The gift pack includes a 2019 resident Annual Entrance Permit, a one-year subscription to Outdoor Indiana magazine, and one of two $65 gift card options. Choose from a $65 camping or State Park Inns gift card.

The buyer saves $31 over the regular price of the items purchased separately.

Annual Entrance Permits, and both the Inns and Camping Gift Cards will also be available at the show.

Can’t make it to the fairgrounds? You can buy the same gift packs online at innsgifts.com, or in person at the DNR Customer Service Center located in the Indiana Government Center South (402 W. Washington St., Room W160, Indianapolis, 46204) through Dec. 31.

Indiana has 32 state parks and reservoirs throughout the state. The entrance permit grants gate entrance to all state parks and reservoirs for all of 2019, beginning Jan. 1.

The Inns gift card can be used at any of seven state park lodging facilities, or the award-winning Pete Dye-designed golf course at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis.

The camping gift card can be used at any state park or reservoir campground, or at the following DNR Division of Forestry properties: Greene-Sullivan State Forest, Covered Bridge Retreat, or Deam Lake and Starve Hollow state recreation areas. The gift card can be used for cabins (excluding inns-operated cabins), campsites, cottages, group camps, recreation buildings, rent-a-camp cabins, shelters, and youth & rally camps.

In addition to being used for camping, the camping gift card also may be used to pay for daily or annual entrance fees, lake permits, horse tags, and many other items sold at state park properties, except for operations run by private concessionaires within those properties.

Outdoor Indiana is a bi-monthly magazine that brings you the best of the state's outdoors in 48 pages of full color. The normal subscription rate is $15 per year.
