The DNR Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology (DHPA) is conducting an online survey to gather public input regarding upcoming projects and initiatives.

Indiana’s Cultural Resources Management Plan is a comprehensive state plan that guides local preservationists, DNR staff, and everyday citizens in their efforts to preserve Indiana’s wide variety of heritage resources, such as historic downtowns and neighborhoods, bridges, cemeteries, schools, round barns, theaters, rural communities and landscapes, and archaeological sites. DHPA is currently revising its plan for 2020-2026.

Feedback from constituents helps ensure that DHPA’s preservation programs, commitment of staff resources, and expenditure of federal funds are responsive to the needs of communities all across Indiana.

Those without Internet access can connect to the survey at any public library, or they can request that a paper copy be mailed to them by calling Steve Kennedy at 317-232-6981. Completed survey forms must be returned to the DHPA by June 30.
