Chaos/CTR Headwear Continues to Support SOS Outreach Youth

San Diego, CA- Chaos Headwear, a leading innovator of knit and constructed headwear and apparel deepens its partnership with SOS Outreach (SOS), a national non-profit serving more than 3,000 youth each year across 15 locations in 9 states. SOS provides supportive outdoor experiences, consistent adult mentorship, leadership skills and opportunities for underrepresented youth to make a difference in their communities.

Chaos/CTR manufactured and donated their highly popular Multis Neck Gaiter to SOS to be given as an end of the season gift. The Multis Neck Gaiter were designed by youth who are participating in SOS programs and will be given to all participants in their Learn to Ride Program and Mentors.

Spencer Cox, Communications and Corporate Relations Manager at SOS tells us, “At the heart of it all, our programs are meant to encourage a deep sense of belonging for underserved youth in our outdoor community. Through positive mentorship and the power of community, our kids feel empowered to engage in service projects, learn leadership skills, and are mentally and emotionally equipped to handle all that life throws their way. What starts as just learning to ski or snowboard, soon transpires to tangible life skills that these kids will use for years. We are so grateful for our partnership with Chaos and their alignment with our mission of cultivating belonging for all in the outdoors. "

No matter what social, societal, or economic barriers exist—SOS believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. The non-profit starts with powerful outdoor experiences. Because it’s on the slopes or the trail that kids unearth the courage to step outside of their comfort zones, discover new strengths within themselves and develop lifelong skills. Through SOS’ proven 10-year curriculum, the organization empowers kids in our communities to discover their true potential.

“Mentoring kids in the outdoors and supporting the cause thereof, is a very important part of the Chaos brand,” said Dominic Chenelia, U.S. President of Sales and Marketing for Chaos Headwear. “We’re celebrating 17 impactful years with SOS—connecting thousands of youth across our communities to everything the great outdoors has to offer, while empowering them to become strong leaders in their own right. We’re very humbled and proud to be such a longstanding partner of SOS Outreach.”

SOS operates with a 10-year intentional program model that cultivates social and emotional skills to lay the foundation for successful futures. Youth are able to effectively apply the knowledge, values, and attitudes necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. This approach is key in empowering youth to thrive, especially in this uncertain landscape.
