The Associate Manager, Channel Marketing is responsible for creating, implementing and managing channel marketing strategy to ensure objectives are accomplished on time and on budget. The successful candidate will conceptualize develop & implement multi-faceted programs and promotions, aligned with key sales, marketing and brand initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Decision Making

· Identifying and implementing new techniques for capturing consumer consideration during the purchasing.

· Design information gathering tools to enhance our understanding of retail activity.

· Develop key performance metrics for each channel program.

· Be able to identify marketing opportunities within collected data and generate reports and presentations that generate action.

· Generate, maintain and adjust monthly and annual budget forecasts.

· Partner with the Creative Services team to develop visuals and messaging that supports campaign objectives.

Overall Administrative Responsibilities

· Deliver highly disciplined and organized approach to project management, often within tight timeframes.

· Coordinate with sales management, brand and marketing communications, product management as well as finance and other departments.

· Manage 3rd Party vendor partnerships, typical examples are fulfillment, decorating and rebate services.

· Develop high impact co-marketing campaigns, incorporating demand generation, social media and integrated marketing campaigns in conjunction with key retailers driving traffic to Smith & Wesson products.

· Develop and implement training materials and programs for the sales team. Examples include Brandlive webinars, "On The Hip" Armorers training etc.

· Regular communication with sales managers and/or clients on all marketing deliverables.

· Maintain digital and creative assets for dealers.

· Design and manage experiences for the Retail Advisory Council.

· Drive best in class in-store point of purchase merchandising for consumer products at key retail channel partners from proposal to implementation.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. Master's degree preferred.

· 2 to 5 years of experience in B2B or B2C marketing within the sporting or firearms industry preferred

· Fundamental understanding of how to market towards businesses and consumers alike.

· Basic understanding of a retail environment and positioning brands for success.

· Ability to define strategies based on goals and data.

· Firearms knowledge and use desirable.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Exhibit a sense of urgency and independent initiative toward accomplishing objectives on time.

· Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 30 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.

· Visual and hearing acuity.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

* Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
