Arizona: Full Moon Hike Coming Up at Lost Dutchman State Park

PHOENIX – Escape the daytime heat and enjoy a fun hike at Lost Dutchman State Park – all by the light of the moon.

Lost Dutchman State Park is offering an exciting full-moon hike on June 16, giving you the chance to explore the Superstitions in the moonlight. Hikers will be guided through Jacob’s Crosscut Trail, a nearly mile-long trail with some steep gains, to discover the secrets of the mysterious Superstition Mountains! Watch as the moon rises over the horizon and above the famous mountain range, lighting up the path as you go. Listen to the story of the Lost Dutchman’s gold mine, a ghoulish campfire story, and see the park in a whole new light. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water and wear closed-toe shoes!

No pets, please. There is a limit on the number of hikers able to attend, so please call the park at (480) 982-4485 to reserve your space. Meet at the Palo Verde group ramada.
