The Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers is a national nonprofit organization for outdoor content creators founded in 1956. AGLOW celebrates media, tourism and destinations, along with corporate partners that collectively play a role in sharing the outdoors with others. AGLOW offers professional development, networking, media camps and conferences, as well as recognition through the Awards-in-Craft platform. The Awards-in-Craft ceremony at each year’s annual banquet is when winners are announced for the year. This year’s winners will be recognized on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the 2025 AGLOW Conference in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
“AGLOW Awards-in-Craft celebrates our over 400 members who strive to produce outstanding outdoor content in a variety of media,” said AGLOW President Karen Lutto Leatherwood. “Our members are leaders in outdoor media and competition is strong. Placing in our wide variety of categories is a feather in the cap of our outdoor media professionals, and seeing, hearing, and feeling the support of peers awarding excellence is uplifting. For some members, participating in Awards-in-Craft is a significant reason for why they are a member of AGLOW.”
Executive Director Kevin Paulson agrees. “AGLOW’s history of recognizing some of the best outdoor content creators in our industry is remarkable. Some of the names in our records, both in the past and in more contemporary times, are the legends of our field. Congratulating new winners each year is one of the highlights of our conference and our membership. I’m looking forward to shaking the hands of our winners this September in Eau Claire and keeping our rich and proud history going.”
Active media members have until midnight on Monday, July 7, 2025, to submit their AIC entries. If you are not an active member of AGLOW but wish to join and submit for AIC, please visit https://aglowoutdoors.com to become a member.
