SUPERIOR, WI – Bowfishermen, save the date! The 2019 Muzzy Classic Bowfishing tournament is on the calendar and we want to see YOU there! Kicking it back to the days of old, the 20th Annual Muzzy Classic bowfishing tournament, slated for July 13 and 14 at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville, Kentucky, will draw competitors from around the country hoping to take home the first-place big money cash payout in the Big 20 format, along with a first-place Numbers side pot and additional payouts for other places.

As Muzzy Classic continues to explode, and more participants sign the dotted line, additional fishable water is needed. This won’t be a problem in 2019, as fishing will take place on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes, as well as the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers. While “Red Zones” will be announced via a marked map at a later date, fishable waters will be from Pickwick Dam to Kentucky Dam on Kentucky Lake; Barkley Dam to Cheatham Dam on Barkley Lake; the Tennessee River from Kentucky Dam to the mouth of the Ohio River; and the Cumberland River from Barkley Dam to the mouth of the Ohio River.

The primary tournament, as previously mentioned, will be a Big 20 format, in which teams will weigh-in their heaviest stringer of 20 fish. The Numbers side pot will be for the most fish caught during the tournament. The fun starts on Friday, July 12 and will continue through weigh in Sunday morning, July 14. There will be food, drinks, field games and good times, as well as a chance to mingle with several celebrity guests. We’ll see you in July.
