Hook & Barrel Magazine® is excited to introduce David Maccar as the Director of Digital Strategy, where he will oversee the development and execution of digital initiatives to grow audience engagement, optimize content performance across platforms, and drive digital revenue.
Maccar brings nearly two decades of experience in the outdoor media industry, beginning at Field & Stream as one of its earliest web editors after several years working for newspapers as a municipal reporter and crime reporter. He went on to serve as an editor and writer for Outdoor Life and SHOT Business magazines and has contributed to numerous outdoor titles over the years. Maccar helped launch and served as the editorial editor for Range365.com. He also co-founded the Free Range American outdoor brand for Black Rifle Coffee Company and served as its editorial director.
