Zimmerman, MN – Classic Bass (ClassicBass.com), a leader in providing relevant and timely information for tournament bass anglers, is eagerly anticipating its second season of the Champions Tour.  The 2018 Champions Tour has been enhanced to accommodate a greater number of the Midwest’s top bass anglers in this exciting, competitive bass fishing format.

Some of the same, bass filled lakes return to the 2018 Champions Tour presented by Skeeter Boats and Yamaha Outboards schedule, along with some new ones.  The schedule for 2018 is as follows:

“Following our first year of the Champions Tour, we were extremely pleased with the angler feedback and wanted to get more anglers involved,” commented Scott Bonnema, Owner of Classic Bass.  “With the 2018 Champions Tour we are excited to not only have more anglers involved in our Tour events, but also get as many anglers competing in our two Open events as possible.”

The Classic Bass Champions Tour will again be streaming live results, posting fish catches and fishing techniques throughout the day as competitors aim to catch as many legal bass as possible.  Each angler is paired with a boat official who will weigh and record every catch into the new Classic Bass Champions Tour scoring system.  At no time will any bass be placed in the boat’s livewells and brought to a weigh-in.

“We look forward to getting the 2018 Champions Tour season kicked off in June,” said Mark Schutz, Classic Bass Operations Manager and Champions Tour Tournament Director.  “We are excited to build off the momentum of 2017 and are eager to provide the best possible angling and viewing experience possible.”

Classic Bass’s primary objective is to provide bass fisherman with beneficial and current bass fishing information, and this goal will now be boosted by the Champions Tour, as results can be followed real time via ClassicBass.com and on social media.  Competing anglers will also be providing Classic Bass with helpful fishing information on the lake they are fishing, along with the techniques and lures they are using.
