The International Game Fish Association Taps Gunpowder
for Outdoors Communications Expertise
Dania Beach, FL – The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) is strengthening its public relations and social media efforts by partnering with outdoors communications leader Gunpowder.
The IGFA, the international, conservation-based recreational angling organization founded in 1939, has selected Gunpowder to support its communications strategies, including traditional and social media outreach and content curation.
“To fully realize our vision of establishing the IGFA as the most widely recognized authority on game fish and angling-related matters in the world, we are making a concerted effort to expand the reach, relevance and appeal of our organization with anglers everywhere,” said IGFA President Nehl Horton. “We are excited to have Gunpowder onboard to help guide our communications efforts.”
Gunpowder was established in 2015 as a new breed of communications agency, with public relations at its core but a breadth of capabilities to keep pace with the way consumers engage with brands today. The agency brings content creation, curation and distribution, influencer outreach and management, and social and digital strategy and execution into the fold and has proven its model on behalf of some of the most iconic enthusiast brands in the world including GoPro, Under Armour, Mercury Marine, Beretta and Cabela’s.
“There are few organizations with as rich a history and as bright a future as the IGFA,” said Ryan Chuckel, president and founder of Gunpowder. “We are honored to help tell the story of this exciting organization.”
