Hillsdale Welcomes Vets, Community Members to Military Appreciation Day

Halter Center Shooting Sports Education Center will host free open shoot for veterans

Hillsdale, Mich. — Hillsdale College welcomes veterans and community members to an open shoot at the John A. Halter Shooting Sports Education Center on Nov. 6. Veterans will receive free rounds of trap, skeet, 5-stand, Olympic bunker, or sporting clays. All others are welcome to shoot at the regular price. About the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center

The Halter Center is a state-of-the-art shooting facility located five miles from the Hillsdale College campus. Opened in 2008, the Center aims to introduce individuals to shooting sports and encourage interest across all levels of experience. The Halter Center also serves an educational purpose by promoting the principles of the Constitution and teaching beginner and experienced shooters in various classes.
