SAF’s Gottlieb to Deliver Kickoff Speech at ‘Rod of Iron Freedom Festival’

BELLEVUE, WA – Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, will deliver the “kickoff speech” Saturday morning for the “Rod of Iron Freedom Festival” at the Tommy Gun Warehouse in Greeley, Pennsylvania, heading a lineup of speakers and launching a weekend of fun activities for shooters and Second Amendment activists.

Gottlieb will also be teaching a Second Amendment Seminar both Saturday and Sunday. He said some 2,000 people have already pre-registered, and organizers are planning for more. Pre-registration is required for this event, and that may be done here.

“I want to thank Justin Moon and Kahr Arms for putting this important event together, heading into the 2020 election cycle, in a key battleground state,” Gottlieb said. “This is going to be one of the largest and most important Second Amendment events held this year.”

Other speakers scheduled to appear include Pastor HJ Sean Moon with the World Peace and Unification Sanctuary ministry, John Velleco executive vice president at Gun Owners of America, Second Amendment activist Mark Robinson, activist Maj Toure, Benghazi survivor John “Tig” Tiegen, head of the Beyond the Battlefield Foundation; Navy veteran and former federal air marshal Craig Sawyer, plus Dr. Joseph Green, founder of The 2019 Movement, Amanda Suffecool, co-host of the syndicated Eye on the Target radio show; Andy “The Gun Guy” Hallinan; Matt Guedes, executive director of Camp Freedom, and Kelly Ann Pidgeon, CEO of Armed and Feminine.

“This is going to be like a gun owner’s Woodstock,” Gottlieb said.

The event kicks off Saturday with a blueberry pancake breakfast, with a 10 a.m. opening ceremony. Afternoon activities include an open shooting range, photo session with VIPs, youth activities, seminars, a firearms auction benefitting the National Rifle Association, Second Amendment Foundation and Gun Owners of America, a concealed carry fashion show and more. An awards ceremony begins at 5 p.m. followed by an evening music festival featuring music by Brokedown and Rebuilt, and Madison Rising.

A fireworks show is scheduled Saturday evening.

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.
