Tools to Fight War on Invasive Species in new Wildlife Forever Catalog

White Bear Lake, MN – As lake and river communities continue to fight the spread of invasive species, Wildlife Forever unveils an arsenal of tools to help educate the public and provide on-the-ground, access based tools to help boaters Clean Drain and Dry (CD2) boats and equipment.

“The spread of invasive species continues but despite a lake getting infested, it’s still critically important to slow the spread because new species, diseases and viruses are knocking on the door,” said Pat Conzemius, Executive Vice President of Wildlife Forever. “Regardless of species or foreign threat to our waters, prevention steps of Clean Drain Dry and Trash Unused Bait are still the best medicine to protect lakes and streams,” said Conzemius.

Developed in partnership with state, federal, county and lake association input, the new Clean Drain Dry Product Catalog is full of educational tools, marketing and media assets, including the new CD3 Cleaning Stations. Consistently branded for continuity and designed for high impact and public appeal, developed materials and services demonstrate Wildlife Forever’s conservation commitment to serve the public and help protect natural resources. “In today’s media and technology driven world, a comprehensive CD2 communication and prevention strategy will inform and educate people using multiple platforms, reminding people to check their equipment but also provide necessary cleaning tools, at the boat ramp, so people can learn to do it themselves,” said Conzemius. “Clean Drain Dry is about empowering the practice.”

The Wildlife Forever Clean Drain Dry Initiative is the national campaign to educate outdoor recreational users on how to prevent the spread of invasive species. Strategic communications, marketing, outreach and educational services provide access to consistent messaging and tailored AIS prevention planning.
