- COMPETITION -
 
Team SK member, Erich Mietenkorte, scored an overall aggregate of 196 x 240 to secure the High-Power Silhouette Two-Gun National Championship. Mietenkorte scored first place in High-Power Standard rifle with a score of 100 x 120.

The CMP’s National Long Range events at Camp Perry saw over 700 individual entries throughout the five-day series, which ran from Aug. 10-14. Along with Long Range Rifle competition, the matches featured Service Rifle, Palma Rifle, Match Rifle and, for the first time, F-Class categories.

Team Zero/Lapua’s Dave Lange won the individual .22 National Championship title at the CMP National Pistol Championships last month. Just days later, he won silver in the individual and gold in the two-man .22 and .45 during the NRA National Precision Pistol Championships. Lange competes using Lapua Center-X rimfire ammunition.

Idaho Fish and Game Commission reduced the bag limit for steelhead anglers to one fish per day and three in possession. The new bag limit runs through Dec. 31, which is the end of the fall season.

Idaho Fish and Game staff will be stocking nearly 4,350 catchable-size (10 to 12 inch) rainbow trout at the following locations across the Clearwater Region in September.

Excise taxes on firearms, ammunition and archery equipment play an important role in woodcock research and management. A new interactive ArcGIS StoryMap, produced by the Partner with a Payer initiative, shows how funding from the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration program enables crucial work on woodcock by State fish & wildlife agencies across the species’ range.
