ONALASKA, Wisconsin - Weaver®, one of the most trusted names in optics, rings and bases and an industry mainstay for more than 75 years, announces an expanded partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). Beginning January 1, 2009, this renewed alliance strengthens RMEF's efforts toward habitat stewardship, land protection, elk restoration and conservation education by donating a portion of the proceeds from every Grand Slam® and Super Slamô riflescope sold.
Weaver increases its support
In the updated agreement, Weaver expands their RMEF royalty program to include contributions from the sale of their new Super Slam series. This increase in donations makes an immediate impact in the effort to grow elk populations and hunting opportunities. "We view this collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation as a natural extension of our work to preserve our hunting legacy," stated Ryan Bronson, ATK conservation specialist. "Both Weaver and RMEF share the same passion for the American hunting heritage and it's this singular passion that makes this partnership so powerful."
Recognition at the retail level
Weaver further expands the RMEF's grassroots efforts by giving hunters the opportunity to choose a product that helps protect elk country. Consumers will easily recognize the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation logo on Grand Slam and Super Slam packaging and on the turret caps of most Grand Slam riflescopes.
