It's not often one has the opportunity to receive shooting instruction from a living legend, let alone two living legends. But that's exactly what participants of the Southeast Michigan Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society's Inaugural Wing Shooting and Sporting Clays Seminar will be getting during the two-day shooting clinic conducted by Chris Batha and Andy Duffy at the Detroit Gun Club on August 14-15, 2008. (Reservations must be received by Friday, August 1.)
With more than 30 years of wing shooting experience Batha is regarded as one of the finest shooting instructors in the world -- a reputation gained on some of the finest sporting estates and shooting schools in Great Britain. As the Master Gun-fitter for E. J. Churchill, he carries out gun-fittings for Best London Guns as well as individual custom gun-fits in both the U S and the UK.
A member of the National Sporting Clay Association (NSCA) Hall of Fame, Duffy's resume and reputation are equally as impressive. Since becoming a competitive shooter, Duffy has been on the NSCA All-American Team 15 times, Team USA from 1990-2004 and is the only shooter who has won 3 High Over All (HOA) NSCA National Championship Titles and successfully defended the title with back-to-back HOA wins.
During the two-day clinic, Batha and Duffy will provide both analytical and hands-on shooting instruction. Limited to 16 participants, the seminar will consist of two daily 4-hour instruction periods (morning and afternoon) with participants receiving separate instruction from both Batha and Duffy.
Reservation for this once in a lifetime opportunity is $1,125 per person and along with the instruction includes an open bar cocktail reception on Wednesday, August 13th from 6-7:30 p.m., plus two other reception hours on Thursday and Friday evening; lunch (both days) open shooting and awards.
Reservations can be made by contacting Mike Tilley at 248-515-7027, or by E-mail at tillemj@sbcglobal.net. All major credit cards accepted.
