Spirit Lake, Iowa - Pure Fishing, a leading global provider of fishing tackle, lures, rods and reels, today announced plans to open a 400,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri, creating 80 jobs and enabling it to more efficiently serve its customers across North America. When the distribution center opens later this year, it will become the principal shipping and receiving site for Pure Fishing and will consolidate services previously handled at five warehouse facilities.

Pure Fishing selected Kansas City for its strong logistics infrastructure, its appealing location and its attractive cost structure. In partnership with local government organizations, Pure Fishing will receive Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits for the creation of new jobs at the facility, which will be located at 7501 NW 106th Terrace in the SkyPort Industrial Park near the Kansas City International Airport.
