Prince William County, Virginia - Bass Edge, a 30-minute television show airing on the Versus television network, plans to feature Potomac River bass fishing off Leesylvania State Park in Prince William County, Virginia next month for an upcoming episode.
Bass Edge teaches the fundamentals of bass fishing. Host Aaron Martin is joined each week by a pro angler who provides tips and techniques. The co-host for this upcoming installment of "Bass Edge" will be Kurt Dove, a Northern Virginia native named one of the 2007 Bassmaster Elite Series Pros.
Dove grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia, not far from Leesylvania State Park. He worked with Bass Edge on another episode last year, and invited the show to his favorite waters this year. Bass Edge's boats will launch from Leesylvania State Park in July. "We have a great opportunity to feature the Potomac, especially with the style of fishing we do on the river in the summer!" Dove explained.
The Bass Edge crew also is working with the Prince William County/Manassas, Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau (www.visitpwc.com) to highlight the area's other premier attractions, including Manassas National Battlefield Park, Historic Manassas, a Potomac Nationals baseball game and local restaurants.
Bass Edge's instruction is backed by the latest 2-D and 3-D animation techniques, taking viewers over the terrain and under the water to better highlight important instructional elements. A portion of this episode also will be featured in "The Edge," a weekly podcast availabe on the Bass Edge website (www.bassedge.com), focusing on tips, techniques and inside product knowledge.
