Mississinewa Reservoir will host a walk and a program on healthy outdoor cooking in recognition of the statewide INShape DNR Day, May 5.

· 10 a.m. INShape Walk -Meet at the modern campgrounds' Interpretive shelter house in the Miami State Recreation Area at Mississinewa Reservoir. Hike the moderately sloped Blue Heron Trail for 2 miles. Hikes will be led by DNR staff. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring your own water.

· 11:30 a.m. Healthy Outdoor Cooking - Join interpretive naturalist Teresa Rody to taste-test some easy outdoor dishes. Learn how healthy these foods can be for you and take home a recipe.

Visit www.INShape.IN.gov and download a coupon before coming to the property to gain free gate admission on the day of the walk.

Free INShape T-shirts will be provided to participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Class AA, A and B campsites are available for reservations at Mississinewa Lake. The INShape walk is located at Mississinewa Lake. The property office address 4673S 625 E, Peru, IN 46970.

The standard entrance fee ($4/car Monday-Thursday; $5/car Friday-Saturday-Sunday; $7/car for out-of-state license plates every day) will be in effect except for those with the coupon for the May 5 walk.
