Spring Mill nature poetry winners announced
Ralph Hammond of Georgetown is the winner of Spring Mill State Park's inaugural annual nature poetry contest, out of 140 entries that were received from around the state.
For his poem he receives a 2007 DNR Annual Entrance Pass and a $25 gift certificate for the Millstone Dining Room at the Spring Mill Inn. Second place, and a 2007 DNR Annual Entrance Pass, went to Russell Shaw of Bloomington, who wrote "Hoosier Indian Summer."

The two winning poems will be displayed at the Spring Mill Nature Center through May 5.
