Position Announcement: The Quality Deer Management Association, the nation's leading whitetail conservation organization, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Advertising and Publishing Coordinator.

Effective Date: May 14, 2007.

Location: QDMA National Headquarters in Athens, Georgia.

Job Description: The Publications Department of QDMA produces Quality Whitetails (QW), the association's bi-monthly membership magazine. Other educational publications include book projects, such as QDMA's landmark book Quality Food Plots, as well as QDMA promotional materials. Specific duties of the Advertising and Publishing Coordinator include:

• Managing advertising accounts for Quality Whitetails, including promoting the magazine among potential new advertisers.
• Assisting in advertising design.
• Scheduling and managing outgoing advertisements that promote QDMA in other publications.
• Coordinating the printing of all projects, including the magazine, books and other publications.
• Participating in the planning, development and creation of new projects.
• Editing all publications before going to press.
• Contributing to editorial planning and creation of Quality Whitetails, where skills and experience allow.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business, journalism, communications or a related field. Personal and/or professional experience with hunting, fishing or outdoor recreation. Experience in ad management or printing is desirable.

Necessary Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel. Experience with Mac OS is also preferred, including Photoshop and design software such as QuarkXpress or InDesign. Must be organized, outgoing, self-motivated and capable of meeting deadlines.
