Governor Ehrlich To Make Announcement On Captain John Smith Trail

WHO: Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, The Conservation Fund, Exelon and The Chesapeake Trust

WHAT: Governor Ehrlich will make an exciting announcement in celebration of the Chesapeake Bay and the 400th Anniversary of the epic journeys of Captain John Smith 1607-1609.

WHERE: Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis

WHEN: Thursday, September 21, 4 - 4:30 p.m.

DIRECTIONS: From Annapolis follow Rt. 50 East. Take Exit 32, Sandy Point State Park, and follow signs. At 4-way intersection - do not turn right into the Park - proceed ahead on Oceanic Drive, pass the Park Office on your left and go to the end of the road. Parking will be up on the grass overlooking the Bay.

*Please note that the media is also invited to attend the Chesapeake Executive Council Restoration Fair at Sandy Point State Park from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Separate advisory to be released.
