Submit a Release
The Outdoor Wire actively solicits press releases in the following categories: shooting, fishing, camping, hiking, archery, equipment, media, (outdoor-related or adventure) travel, recreational vehicles, events, legal/legislative, associations and people. If you have a release that you think is appropriate for The Outdoor Wire, but does not fit into one of these categories, please submit it and we will give it our consideration.
With each press release, we ask that you submit contact information - name, email, phone number - for at least one person in your organization; this information will be published with your release.
Releases should be dated within five (5) business days of the date you wish to have your release published. If you have an older release that is still relevant, please update it before you send it.
The Outdoor Wire does not accept releases related to inhumane killing of animals by any means other than the lawful, licensed harvesting of game animals. We also do not re-publish other newsletters. All releases submitted to The Outdoor Wire for distribution are solely the responsibility of the company or agent submitting the information. Should material be questionable in content or outside acceptable standards for writing, The Outdoor Wire will contact the source for clarification prior to distributing said material.
The Outdoor Wire offers special package rates that permit your company or organization to run releases in full, with images and links, for a low annual price. Other releases will be summarized and included without a link to the full release, so we encourage you to add The Outdoor Wire to your media list even if you don't plan to use this package service. Not-for-profits may submit their material for no charge.
To submit your release, send it in plain text or Microsoft Word format to editor@theoutdoorwire.com. All releases received by 5 p.m. ET will be published in the next day's issue. Submissions will not be acknowledged unless there is a problem, but please contact us if you do not see your release the following day.
