Kentucky: Louisville Deer & Turkey Expo Returns

PEWAUKEE, Wis. — The fifth annual Louisville Deer & Turkey Expo returns for three days of all things deer and turkey hunting Jan. 26-28 at the Kentucky State Fairgrounds Exposition Center.

The state’s premier consumer expo for hunting and outdoor enthusiasts highlights the sport’s latest innovations, trends and techniques while showcasing new and notable equipment, accessories, clothing and more.

In addition to hundreds of hunting and archery exhibitors and outfitter booths, event highlights include:

  • Local hunters can enter their best deer from any season for an official score and display in the Trophy Deer Contest and Display. Those who enter will receive a weekend pass to attend the expo. In addition to these impressive deer from Indiana and Kentucky, the Record Whitetails Display features some of the largest whitetail deer ever taken.

  • Both novice and advanced hunters can learn how to improve and innovate during seminars hosted by field experts on topics including habitat management, food plots and a wide variety of detailed deer, turkey and elk hunting strategies and techniques.

  • Renowned archer Byron Ferguson is back with his fan-favorite trick shot show, where he uses a traditional bow and his instinctive reactions to pull off unbelievable shots, this year featuring new tricks like shooting with his feet and shooting the flame off a candle.

  • Attendees can get hands-on experience at archery, airgun and hoverball trial ranges. Shooters can also bring their own bow to participate in the Raised at Full Draw 3D archery tournament.

Tickets purchased at the door will be $13 for adult one-day, $20 for adult two-day and $5 for children ages 6 to 15. A complimentary one-year subscription to either Field & Stream or Outdoor Life is included with paid adult admission, and all attendees will be entered into daily drawings for dozens of door prizes from favorite hunting and outdoor lifestyle brands.

Daily event hours are: Friday, 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
