Viridian Expands FACT WMC Program

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. –– Viridian Weapon Technologies is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Skalicky as National Sales Manager. Skalicky will oversee the implementation of the FACT Duty™Weapon-Mounted Camera (WMC) with law enforcement agencies and manage strategic accounts in the United States.

Skalicky joins Viridian with a strong background in managing dealer relationships in the shooting sports and hunting markets. In his most recent role at AcuSport Corporation, he served as a strategic account professional. Skalicky also brings a wealth of industry knowledge and passion for fishing and hunting to the Viridian team. He and his wife Natalie and son Gavin live in Zimmerman, Minnesota.

Kevin will be a key player as we continue to expand our FACT WMC programs and bring the technology to agencies nationwide,” said President and CEO Brian Hedeen. “He will be directly responsible for initiatives that connect our FACT Duty to law enforcement customers. I’m confident that Kevin will continue building on the growth we’ve achieved with this revolutionary system.”

In his new role at Viridian, Skalicky will manage a team of internal sales people and report to Andy Scott, Director of Sales and Marketing. Scott will continue to oversee and guide Viridian’s sales and growth strategy with support from Skalicky.

“I’m very excited to join the Viridian team to help grow the FACT WMC program,” said Skalicky. “The FACT Duty is a game-changer for the law enforcement community, and I look forward to onboarding agencies and implementing the technology in organizations across the country. It’s an honor to be part of this company and bring these vital technologies to our men and women in blue.”

The FACT WMC product line features the patented INSTANT-ON® technology—activating the camera automatically when an officer draws the firearm from its holster—and has created an entirely new category with 1080p HD digital recording, full audio capabilities and 500 lumen tactical light. Designed exclusively to answer the needs of duty officers, the FACT Duty provides an unobstructed view between the gun’s muzzle and subject, overcoming an inherent limitation with body cameras. Numerous police departments around the United States and elsewhere are currently testing or implementing FACT Duty WMCs.
